We built the roastery we always wished existed.
Home Island Coffee Partners is a specialty-grade private label roastery and co-roasting facility, founded in Burnaby, BC by two people who've spent their careers making coffee better.
We’ve been in this long enough to see what’s missing
Our team has spent well over a combined fifty years working in coffee - behind the counter, on the roaster, buying green coffee, and building brands from scratch. We've seen what works and what doesn't.
What we kept running into was a gap: BC has no shortage of coffee roasters, but almost none of them are set up to properly serve the specialty market at the private label level. The businesses who want their own high-quality, thoughtfully sourced coffee brand - cafés, restaurant groups, retailers - were being underserved. They were either stuck with commodity-grade white label, or they were trying to build a full roasting operation themselves, which is expensive and distracting.
Home Island exists to close that gap. We're a dedicated B2B roasting partner - not a café, not a consumer brand - built specifically to help other businesses build theirs. And with our new co-roasting membership, we're also opening up our facility to the next generation of BC roasters who want professional-grade access without the capital cost.
Home Island Coffee Partners was founded in 2022, in Burnaby, BC — and we're building it to be the partner we always wished we'd had.
We're not here to put our name on your bag. We're here to make your name mean something.
We believe that an independent café deserves the same quality of roasting partnership as a nationally distributed brand. We believe that the roaster behind your coffee should know your beans as well as you know your customers. And we believe that good coffee - sourced responsibly, roasted carefully, delivered consistently - is one of the easiest ways a business can stand out.
That's what drives everything we do: making specialty roasting genuinely accessible to BC businesses, without compromise on quality.

He’s motivated to get more people drinking coffee that sustainably supports the people who bring it to us, and in a way that does the least harm to our planet.
